Dr. Deri Lewis was born and raised in Newport Beach, California. Following graduation from the University of Southern California, Deri worked in politics and finance before returning to school to study Medicine. After graduating from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, she moved to Texas for a surgical residency at Baylor University Medical Center.
Dr. Lewis is a board certified general surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Her primary practice and office are located at Medical City Dallas. She also has privileges at THR Presbyterian Dallas, North Central Surgery Center and Baylor Frisco.
During her training, Dr. Lewis published scientific articles and made presentations on various surgical topics. She is committed to incorporating the most current surgical knowledge and technical advances into her every day practice. She is a leader in single incision surgery and advanced hernia repair utilizing the daVinci Surgical System.
Dr. Deri Lewis has been repeatedly nominated by her peers as a Best Doctor in D Magazine.

Dr. Deri Lewis has supported Mercy Ships since before she entered medical school. Along with her husband, she traveled to Togo Africa to observe the state-of-the-art floating hospital. Together they have supported a variety of medical missions over the past decade. Locally, Dr. Lewis and her family are involved with several charities serving medical, financial and spiritual needs within the community. A highlight for Dr. Lewis is HopeKids, which serves children (and their families) with life threatening illnesses. She is
honored to serve on the local board for this national nonprofit organization.
Dr. Lewis and her husband are also regular volunteers in the children’s ministry at their church and in their children’s schools.
She currently resides in Dallas with her husband, two young sons and chocolate lab, Buster Brown.
